Board of Advisors

Stuart is a valuable addition to the Bend Biomedical Board of Advisors since 2023. With a passion for diagnostics and extensive experience in software and hardware engineering, Stuart brings a wealth of knowledge to our nonprofit global health company. Throughout his career, he has made significant contributions at organizations such as Meteorcomm, Applied Microsystems Corporation, Philips Medical Systems (where he spent an impressive 20 years), and S5 Solutions.

Stuart’s professional journey has been in roles as a hardware engineer, software engineer, test engineer, and software test engineer. His work has spanned across various industries and with customers such as Philips Medical Systems, Blue Origin, Crane Aerospace, Starbucks Technology, Fujifilm VisualSonics, Warn Industries, Korry Electronics, and Landauer Radiation Monitoring.

Education-wise, Stuart holds a B.S.E.E.T from DeVry Institute of Technology, along with being a Certified LabVIEW Developer. This academic foundation and his exceptional skills in embedded systems, software development, medical devices, firmware, signal processing, and engineering management make him an invaluable asset in tackling complex challenges and developing innovative solutions in the field of global health.

Beyond his professional achievements, Stuart is a devoted family man, residing in Lynnwood, Washington with his wife of 7 years and their five children. His passions extend to spending quality time with family, exploring the world through travel, continuous learning, automation, and the inspiring and mentoring of the next generation of engineers.

Stuart’s diverse expertise has led him to the possibility of playing a key role at our Prineville, Oregon facility. His dedication to improving global health aligns perfectly with our nonprofit organization’s mission.
