Dr. Bedan Gichanga, M.D., M.B.A., joined the Bend Biomedical Board of Advisors in 2021, bringing an impressive background in global health. With an M.D. from the University of Nairobi and an M.B.A. with a focus on Health Administration from Keele University, Bedan has dedicated over 15 years to advancing healthcare systems in sub-Saharan Africa. His work has primarily focused on improving health outcomes as a specialist and advisor for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), with substantial contributions in Kenya and Namibia.

Throughout his career, Dr. Gichanga has built a reputation as a big-picture thinker and an effective project leader in international development. His career has taken him across various African nations, including Kenya, Namibia, and Tanzania, along with impactful work stints in Rwanda, Zambia, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Ghana. His expertise spans diverse health initiatives, from disease prevention programs to healthcare capacity building, which have positively impacted many lives across the region.

Bedan’s strategic vision and hands-on experience in addressing public health challenges are invaluable assets to Bend Biomedical as it strives to deliver high-quality, accessible healthcare solutions.
